One’s experience accompanied by such a form of inquiry was examined using examples of philosophical dialogue and psychotherapy. It was suggested that “inquiry through dialogue” entailed consciousness of one’s thought, and a sense of “feeling it to be genuine”. In addition, dialogue with others seemed to help generate a feeling of difference from one’s own sense, and make one more conscious of “feeling it to be genuine”.
