In particular, we focus on the relationship between economic and environmental policies in the European Green Deal and the coffee supply chain, and aim to propose a direction to solve the issue.\nIn Section 1, we identified problems in coffee production and consumption trends as an agricultural product. Specifically, we summarized basic data on the world coffee trade and showed that, with a few exceptions, producing and consuming countries are clearly separated, and trade interactivity has not been achieved. In Section 2, we analyzed the time sequences of international coffee price fluctuations and their drivers, and pointed out structural problems in the supply chain that put producers at economic risk. This highlighted the growing presence of specialty coffees in the coffee market, focusing on the characteristics of price fluctuations in today's coffee supply chain and the trends of major roasters. In Section 3, we analyzed the EU’s human rights and environmental due diligence and other policies to resolve structural economic disparities among actors in the coffee supply chain, and presented the possibility of a sustainable coffee supply chain.\nThe discussions showed that in order to solve the structural problems of the existing coffee supply chain, major roasters as buyers of coffee beans need to lead the development of a sustainable supply chain based on the Green Deal policies promoted by the EU. To do so, it is important not only to design a system targeting roasters, but also to build a system that appeals to consumers at the end of the supply chain. Another problem for producers is the development of an environmental system needed for them to work on adding value to their coffee beans. A typical example is the coffee certification system as a“ Voluntary Sustainability Standard” (VSS). A discussion of the effectiveness and role of the VSS is a subject for the next paper.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"東洋英和女学院大学"}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN10186150","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"09157794","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"高﨑, 春華"},{"creatorName":"タカサキ, ハルカ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-04-11"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"JSKR-N40_P95-114.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.3 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"JSKR-N40_P95-114","url":"https://toyoeiwa.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1722/files/JSKR-N40_P95-114.pdf"},"version_id":"08c09af0-b70b-4668-9096-b0a9840e9048"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"コーヒー、サプライチェーン"},{"subitem_subject":"EU"},{"subitem_subject":"人権・環境デューディリジェンス"},{"subitem_subject":"Coffee"},{"subitem_subject":"supply chain"},{"subitem_subject":"EU"},{"subitem_subject":"Due Diligence"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper"}]},"item_title":"コーヒーのサプライチェーンにおける構造的課題 : EUのコーヒー市場を事例に","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"コーヒーのサプライチェーンにおける構造的課題 : EUのコーヒー市場を事例に"},{"subitem_title":"Structural Challenges in the Coffee Supply Chain: Case Study of the EU Coffee Market","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"17","path":["372"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2023-04-11"},"publish_date":"2023-04-11","publish_status":"0","recid":"1722","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["コーヒーのサプライチェーンにおける構造的課題 : EUのコーヒー市場を事例に"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-19T10:37:03.488255+00:00"}
